Support Lily's Journey to Health and Recovery

It’s difficult to understand what to do when you or your family is struck by an unexpected circumstance. My bestie Kristina & her family are currently dealing with one of those unexpected circumstances. A few months ago, Lily, Kristina’s eldest daughter, had a growth start to appear on her tongue. Within the past month, the size of the lump had grown so large that it caused extreme pain & causing issues with her eating as well as breathing.

After countless emergency, urgent care, & doctor visits, a biopsy was taken due to suspicion of it being a tumor. She was diagnosed with a schwannomas tumor which is rare with an incidence of about only 1%. We are so grateful to have had the good news that it came back non-cancerous. However, the journey isn’t over. The growth is still there causing pain & discomfort. She has to undergo an MRI this week to ensure that the growth is accessible without harm to nerves, veins, or arteries & schedule a surgery for removal asap.

However, after missing work days, many appointments, fighting with doctors, copays, plus future medical bills etc., The family is slowly starting to feel the pain financially of dealing with such a stressful unexpected event. I remember what it felt when my home caught on fire & didn’t know how we would survive getting back on our feet being too humble to ask for help. My bestie asked for me. If it wasn’t for her & many of our friends & family donating, I’m not sure how we would have survived such a traumatic unexpected event.

Kristina & her husband are doing their best to keep their heads afloat during such a scary time as well as ensure Lily is taken care of to avoid any worsening condition. STD takes a while to go through if you are approved & unfortunately after Lily's graduation & summer PTO is not much of an option. It’s okay to not be okay…everybody needs a hand sometimes! So if you could please help us bless this family through this surgery to ensure this Class of 2024 Fresh New Adult can get past this painful medical journey & continue her journey of adulting. All expenses will go to Lily's medical bills & cover a few weeks of income for Kristina to ensure her daughter safely gets through this process. We all sincerely appreciate any help no matter the amount & all prayers/good vibes to The McMahon/Rodriguez family!
