Support Lin Kirk's Fight Against Cancer

My name is Tammy Perry. I am a nurse who has had the pleasure of working with Lin Kirk for over 25 years. She has been more than a co-worker, but my best friend, my sister.

Lin's story is of her fight with brain cancer that started 17-19 years ago. Back then, she beat brain cancer twice. She went on to have two beautiful daughters who take after her in every way. In July of 2023, Lin's annual MRI showed that the tumor had returned. Soon after, she had surgery to remove cancer cells, which was followed by radiation and chemotherapy. Lin continues her fight to this day with ongoing IV chemo. This fight has left Lin with weakness on her left side. She is trying to get stronger and beat cancer every day. Her daughters and husband, Bryan, have been wonderful during this time, but I am hoping to help them with her daily care.

I have started this GoFundMe in an effort to help Lin and her family purchase a stair lift to get her to her bedroom and bathroom safely.

Lin has spent her whole career as a nurse in the Emergency Room at WakeMed, and recently, as a school nurse in Franklin County. She has taken care of countless patients and fellow nurses alike. Many of those years, she was charge nurse on our beloved weekend day shift, making sure everyone got to eat and assisting wherever she could. She has given her life to taking care of others who found themselves in tragic and scary circumstances. I am just hoping to try and give back to her.

Lin is truly the sweetest, kindest soul who loves her Lord and is a true servant for Him. She is a true friend to everyone she meets. Her hugs are like no other, and her smile and giggles will make your day brighter. If you can help monetarily, any amount is most appreciated, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
