Support Linda Ivins' Family
As you know, we lost our beloved grandmother, mother, sister, wife, and friend Linda Ivins on June 7th. If you knew Linda, you also know she was a fighter. She battled muscular dystrophy for four decades, always insisting on doing her share of work, and being there for her family and friends despite ever-increasing limitations to her mobility and debilitating pain. She insisted on working, being with her beloved Bob, children and grandchildren, right up to the end. If there is one comforting aspect of losing Linda, it is in knowing that that she will no longer suffer.
Unfortunately, Linda's long physical battle leaves behind additional challenges. Over the years, Linda's inability to work, combined with extraordinary medical bills forced her and Bob to take on debt. Linda and Bob are proud people, and wouldn't think of avoiding their responsibilities, or asking for help. However, as more bills continue to roll in we are asking for your support. There is very little insurance, and Linda's disability payment was an important part of the budget. Their children are doing what they can. Please don't feel compelled, however, If you would like to assist, we are seeking $15,000 to cover funeral expenses, and to take a dent out of Bob's remaining debt balance.
