Support Linda, Kagan & family after Eaton Fire

Dear Friends,

When we think about Altadena, we picture the beautiful mountains and then immediately think of our two long-time friends, Linda, Kagan and their two young children, Saben and Wawona. This family lives and breathes Altadena to the core, and has done so much for their local community through their work, creative outlets and school community. They have quickly organized a donation center called Altadena Kindred for families in need, and helping others before thinking of themselves. Linda and Kagan are truly the biggest fans of their loving community.

The reality is, like so many of their friends and neighbors they have been displaced by the horrible Eaton Fire. It appears by some miracle that their home and Linda's ceramic studio may still be standing. Although their house may have survived, there is no date in sight of when it will be safe to even go see it. The neighborhood is currently off limits, too dangerous for residents and can be many months before it would be deemed safe to return home.

Linda’s ceramic studio which helps support her family is based at her home, and now that she is unable to work there she will possibly need to find another space to create her wonderful ceramics. This can become very costly quickly, in which she could not sustain.

We are asking for your help on their behalf, to raise money to ease their situation while they figure out next steps to return home. It’s possible that FEMA assistance and insurance can take months to a year, and there is no guarantee. This donation would also be used to aid living costs for their family of 4 as they navigate the many unknowns.

While Linda and Kagan are busy helping others in their community, we want to help their family get through this extremely difficult time.
