After Helene ~ Please Support Linda's Public Art & Workshops

Hi, I'm Linda Pannullo, a mosaic artist from Asheville, NC, and I am humbly asking for your support to recover from major losses after Hurricane Helene. The storm has had a negative impact on my work and livelihood and has brought into even starker focus the need to advocate for our uniquely precious and fragile environment.

Over the last decade, I have been building my mosaic art and workshop business, with many pieces inspired by the natural beauty of Western NC and the importance of protecting it.

Here is why I am asking for your support ~

1. Nature's Throne ~ Composed with thousands of individually cut and grounded pieces of tile and over 350 hours of labor, it is a tangible educational art piece that is now a permanent installation at the world-renowned NC Arboretum. Nature's Throne was on loan at the Arboretum during their Winter Lights show and the following year. In my heart, I knew this is where I always wanted it to be - accessible to the public and supporting their environmental programs. Before I could plan a fundraiser to recoup my material and labor expenses Helene came along and derailed that time period. So here I am, humbly asking your support for this piece valued at $30,000.

2. Workshop Business ~ I have introduced many people to traditional and contemporary mosaics through my own workshops and by bringing the best guest mosaic artists in the world to Asheville. The beautiful Canopy Gallery in the Art Garden in the River Arts District was completely destroyed by the storm and I was unable to plan my 2025 workshop schedule, a loss of $15,000. Funds will be used to renovate my garage for individual and small groups while I continue my search for a larger studio space to rent.

I am focusing my energies on rebuilding my business by recovering the loss of revenue for the chair and workshops. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference. Thank you for your generosity, care, and support of the arts.
