Support Lindsay and Matias' family rebuild after wildfire

Donation protected

Hello all, I've created this GoFundMe for my sister and her family. They are living in a tight-knit community that's dedicated to living intentionally and in harmony with nature in Córdoba, Argentina.

On September 2, 2024, a merciless and uncontrollable wildfire tore through the area, consuming six homes, including that of my sister and her family. The conditions were dry and windy, moving the fire swiftly, crossing a river, and giving short notice for evacuation. Fortunately, the children were with their grandparents that day and did not witness the terrifying scene and the complete loss of their belongings and family home.

Her husband, Matias was already helping the community fire brigade when Lindsay got word of the evacuation. She fled with only the family's passports, the family dog, and the clothes on her back. Once in a safe place, she watched helplessly through the security cameras as the flames devoured their beloved home. This wasn't just a house; it was a sanctuary they had built over a few years (had only just moved in March) and a testament to their commitment to sustainable living and community values.

Now, they face the daunting task of rebuilding not just their physical shelter, but their memories within their caring community. Nothing was salvageable from the ashes of their home. Any contribution, no matter the size, will provide essential resources for my family as they rebuild. Thank you!

¡Gracias!
