THE LONG WAY UP....Travelling across the world on a motorbike to build connection, spread joy and find out what truly helps people to feel good and live a good life.

Have you ever watched or heard of The Long Way Down with Ewan McGregor? Well, meet Lindsay (and her good sport husband, Craig!), who are embarking on their own world-wide motorcycle adventure.

Dr Lindsay Foreman is a passionate and joyful force of nature who goes out of her way to live her values & spread good in the world. Following a Masters (MSc) in Positive Psychology & Coaching Psychology, and completing a PhD looking at the interplay between our thoughts and emotions, Lindsay is keen to share this knowledge with the world. Positive Psychology, the science & practice of wellbeing, teaches us how to lead a good and happy life, one that is focused on abundance, strengths and what is going well.

The activities you can do to increase your wellbeing are called ‘Positive Psychology Interventions’ (PPIs) and Lindsay is on a mission to find out - globally! - what PPIs or positive intentional activities, are most effective and could make the biggest difference to all of our lives.

At its heart, describes Lindsay, this incredible & challenging journey across the globe is...
"A crusade to openly communicate and physically connect with as many positive humans as possible, to discover and share their perspectives on what it means to live a good life"

Throughout the 12 months of travel, Lindsay will be sharing her connections and insights as she goes...giving us all a hopeful view of the world at a time when we need it most. Together we will learn a raft of activities that we can all do to help us lead a happier, more fulfilling and more connected life❤️

This is a significant challenge, but to put it in perspective, Lindsay actually only started motorbiking a few short months ago; it’s a skill she has learned in part to be closer to her brother, who loved motorbikes but sadly passed away in 1993 in a motorbike accident...she will take his love and sense of adventure with her on her travels ❤️

This mission takes Lindsay and Craig literally all over the world. Their rough plan is below; culminating at the International Positive Psychology Conference in Brisbane, AUSTRALIA in 2025!!!

Route:
1. Western Europe - Sept/Oct
2. North Africa and Southern Europe - Nov/Dec
3. Middle East - Jan/Feb 2025
4. SE Asia - Mar/Apr
5. North & Eastern Oz - May/Jun to arrive in Brisbane 1st July 2025 for the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) conference.

Lindsay is clear about her vision:
"I want this to be about building relationships, and meeting people where they are at - geographically, physically and emotionally."

Inspired by a breathwork session run by Itai Ivtzan at the European Positive Psychology Conference in Innsbruck this summer, Lindsay starts her conversations with fellow positive psychologists by taking a few deep breaths and connecting physically in a close but non-intimate way by touching knees... Positive Psychology Knee to Knee (PPK2K) chats!!!! :)

Lindsay summarises her mission and tells us more...
”PPK2K are short, informal knee-to-knee chats with positive psychologists and positive people gathered on a round the world adventure on a motorcycle. The plan is to collect different views and perspectives on:

1) what it means to live a good life/or what positive psychology means to each individual,
2) what positive intentional activities/interventions have the greatest impact in our lives
3) which can make the biggest difference in our communities, and
4) we end with a one-line message of hope for the world!"

Right now our world could do with more HOPE and the spreading of love and connection.

If you can, could you help support Lindsay complete her incredible mission by donating some money to support her fuel and sustenance costs, resources, visas and motorbike upkeep?

If you admire Lindsay's passion and courage, and want to see her spread hope and joy - and find out more about what constitutes a good life - please consider donating some money.

Anything you can give will help!!

Thank you so much for reading this, please reach out with any questions.

Lindsay will be updating us on her journey through the following links/social media...

will be the first place for info and updates

should be up to date...

And Lindsay has set up a very simple website to share the route, data and blogs https://ppk2krtw.wordpress.com/

Lindsay and Craig didn’t ask me to set this up, I did it because this mission is incredible and incredibly important. Through Lindsay, you are spreading hope and furthering our understanding of what makes a good life and can help us all to flourish in these tough and uncertain times.

Thank you sooooo much!!!!! :)

One of the photos shows Lindsay celebrating her PhD graduation with her two most important people, her sons Toby and Joe... she wouldn't be able to do any of this without their love and support ❤️❤️
