Support Lindsey's Family's Medical Journey

My name is Lindsey, I'm a single mother of 4 very well raised boys, 1 graduated, 1 who is 16 about to start driving, a third grader and also my youngest son who is 4 and named after my father who has always been my support in life since my mother passed when I was 13. I was 16 years old and wanted to have a child so I could keep the presence of motherhood in my life. At 17 I had my own apartment and 2 jobs till I turned 18 and worked in a factory 3rd shift and graduated high school while raising my first born son. His father has been incarcerated more of his life than not. I was married and divorced with 3 more sons from my now X husband. In 2013 I found out I'm not only a carrier in the genetic disease that took my mom's life, but I'm also deficient in the trypson protein that protects my lungs heart and liver. I also found out my 3 sons with my X husband are also carriers and even worse, they are deficient in the protein as well. Managing our health with multiple inhalers, steroids and antibiotics while having environmental allergies is a daily struggle, but to make things harder, our pulmonary specialist, genetic specialists, cardiovascular specialists and internal medicine as well as my primary care doctor are all located at the Cleveland clinic, the main campus. For us this is a 4 hour drive 1 way, my van is on its last leg which I'm still paying on the loan, I do work in the community I live in, it works around my full time job of being a mother as well as sometimes I can take my boys to work with me and when medical complications arise which is every 3 weeks on average, unfortunately. I've had quotes for places to transport us and it's between 500 and 8 hundred dollars a trip. The total repair for my van is 8000 dollars, I'm in desperate need to get to Cleveland clinic, my feet and hands go entirely numb now which has been that way for years, but I've fallen twice in the past month, I get light headed by standing up, I'm struggling and all I want to do is make it to Cleveland to see my pulmonary and cardiovascular specialists, I don't ask for much from nobody, my father has always been there for physical support and a great role model for my boys, however he himself has fallen ill, he has surgery coming up, pray for him, he is truly a great man and everybody who knows him knows this to be true. With more physical work on me I'm really needing the medical attention. I'm currently sick with bronchitis and prescribed 60mg of prednisone a day for 6 days, that's a high amount but what my lungs require to fight off any infection to them.
