Support Lindsey's Mission for Substance Abuse Awareness

Tax deductible
Hello, my name is Lindsey Huang and I am a current sophomore that lives in the suburbs of Chicago. I have developed a passion for substance abuse awareness and have created a mission to address this prevalent issue in my community.

Substance abuse is a persistent issue that will never be solved - a big issue that needs big change. This problem is affluent specifically among teens due to social expectations. According to the National Center for Drug Abuse Statistics, over 62% of teenagers have abused alcohol and 1 in 8 teens have abused an illicit substance in the past years (2023). These numbers are not representative of everyone; it is safe to assume that teens all over the country - all over the world - have become subject to these deadly narcotic drugs.

I have seen this problem firsthand in my community in the Northshore area. Despite being known to be a well-off, safe, and educated community, teens everywhere still are taking illegal substances without being aware of the true consequences. I want to bring awareness to this issue and help fund nonprofits that help address this problem, with the ultimate goal of minimizing use to zero. Although this is an extremely difficult mission, even helping one person is worth the work. Please help me reach my goal by spreading the word or by donating. All donations and help are extremely appreciated. Let's work to bring this big talk issue to something that is small talk.
