Support Lisa After the Palisades Fire
Donation protected
Dear friends, family and caring strangers,
Our mom, Lisa Turcillo, lost our family home in the Palisades Fire, one that we've had for three generations and that she herself also grew up in. The Albright house meant everything to our family. It held countless keepsakes, was the backdrop to every Christmas, and was a sanctuary loved by so many, family and friends alike.
The devastation faced by our entire community is unimaginable, but words cannot describe how beautiful it's been to see our hometown — and LA as a whole — come together to support one another. The ever-witty Lisa is keeping her spirits as high as she can, finding moments of comedic relief in the face of this immense loss. She is deeply touched and overwhelmed by the love you have all shown our family.
We are hoping to help lessen the load on our mom, as we're not sure how things will play out in the coming months. She left home with only the clothes on her back and one outfit for the next day. We know it is a long road ahead, and we're taking things day by day.
Lisa has dedicated her life to our community, serving as a beloved educator for decades. From her time at Methodist Preschool of Pacific Palisades to her years as PTA President at Pali Elementary, and later as a teacher to many Palisadians at various Westside schools, she has left a lasting impact. She introduced events and programs at Pali Elementary that have continued on, though the school sadly burned down in the fire. Many of Sophia's childhood friends remember her as the Girl Scout Troop Leader of Troop 794. For over a decade, she dedicated herself to the girls, leaving an indelible mark with her unwavering selflessness, nurturing spirit, and endless humor.
Funds will be used to cover necessary temporary expenses that arise during this transition period which are not covered by insurance or disaster support. Any donation helps and we are so grateful for your support, both of our mom and of our neighbors impacted by the LA fires. We're hopeful for our mom's incredible community and look forward to seeing the Palisades as vibrant as it once was.
With love and gratitude,
Sophia & Gabriel
