Support Lisa Clark's Fight Against Stevens-Johnson Syndrome
Donation protected
Dear friends and community,
Two weeks ago, Lisa Clark underwent surgery for varicose veins, but shortly afterward, she began experiencing flu-like symptoms and developed a rash. Initially, doctors believed the rash was caused by her laundry detergent. However, her condition worsened, and she was admitted to the hospital with a dangerously high fever of 109°F.
After further tests, Lisa was diagnosed with Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS), a rare and life-threatening condition that causes severe skin reactions and damage to internal organs. Due to the severity of her condition, Lisa was placed in a medically induced coma and transferred to Syracuse University Hospital for intensive care.
Yesterday, December 13th, Lisa underwent surgery to address increased pressure on her eyes, a complication from her illness. The treatment for SJS is long and extremely taxing, both physically and emotionally. Lisa's family is doing everything they can to support her, but the financial and mental strain is becoming overwhelming.
Lisa’s husband, who is her primary caregiver, is the only one working right now, as he cannot afford to take time off to be with his wife. The mounting medical bills, combined with lost income, are putting immense pressure on the family during this difficult time.
How You Can Help: We are asking for your support to help cover Lisa's medical expenses and provide some financial relief for her family while they navigate this challenging journey. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and help ease the burden on Lisa’s family.
Thank you for your generosity, love, and support. Please keep Lisa in your thoughts and prayers as she continues her fight against this rare and devastating illness.
