Good day/evening to everyone.
Some of you might have heard by now that the father of our dear friend and sister, Lisa Ileka, recently passed away back home in Congo. This is a terrible loss for her and I wanted to use this forum to create an opportunity for any of her friends who might wish to support her during this difficult time to do so. At very short notice, Lisa has to fly home to Kinshasa to help with the funeral arrangements. The costs for all of this adds up and due to visa, employment and family health challenges over the past year, this represents a tremendous load for her.
If you've had any amount of interaction with Lisa, you know that she was never really one to hold back what she had to give. I remember, with fondness, Lisa tagging along with me from NYC to Maryland a few years ago to help plan and put on a baby shower for my sister whom she'd never met. When she was in New York, she was always off somewhere helping this person move or that person find a job or inviting this other person to a meal at her apartment.
I would like to ask if you would please consider giving any amount to help shoulder some of the financial burden that Lisa will have to bear in the next couple of weeks as she lays her father to rest. No amount is insignificant and your love, support and prayers will be instrumental in carrying her through this time.
