Support Lisa In Her Fight Against Cancer!

Donation protected
On March 22nd our beloved friend, Lisa Delgado, received the shocking diagnosis of Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer. We are starting this fundraiser so Lisa’s community of family and friends can contribute to helping Lisa face this head on and without financial stress. Lisa would give you the shirt off her back or be there for you on the drop of a dime if you needed her. She is a prideful person and would never ask for anything, which is why we put this together for her. No one should have to worry about money when fighting against Cancer. If you can and are willing to donate, we know Lisa would be beyond grateful for your generosity and support! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting her while she fights this fight! SHE WILL WIN!

What Happened:
Last November Lisa was diagnosed with Diverticulitis, via a CT scan. However, the doctors saw something more that made them think it could be Colitis or Crohn’s which earned her a colonoscopy at the end of February. Doctors were not able to perform the colonoscopy though, given all the inflammation they found, instead they took a biopsy. That inflammation turned out to be a tumor a little over 4cm.

On February 28th Lisa received the phone call from her doctor that rocked her world as she was told “your results came back and it’s Colon Cancer”. Shortly after she received a call from her soon to be surgeon who told her they would be removing the tumor the following week.

On March 10th Lisa had a successful surgery where they removed about 7 inches of colon and 2 lymph nodes that were sent off to pathology.

On March 22nd Lisa found out she was Stage 3 and would need Chemotherapy.

Lisa’s Treatment:
Lisa’s 2 lymph nodes tested positive for Cancer, and she was told she would need Chemotherapy.

On May 11th Lisa had her first Chemotherapy infusion. It went well, for the most part. She is however experiencing many side effects and is exhausted.

On June 1st Lisa had her second Chemotherapy infusion.  She’s Half way done. This time was brutal, the side effects were much worse than the first time. Pins and needles all over her body including up her nose and every time she swallows, muscle spasms all over including her faces which can make It difficult to speak and her eyes feel like they are straining from the spasms and fatigue. She’s resting as much as her life will allow.

2 treatments down, 2 to go. We will continue to update you as the months and treatments go on!

How The Funds Will Be Used:
Lisa is a single mother living in an apartment with her two amazing boys, Devin & Grayson and large fur-baby, Milo. Due to her Chemo treatment and being exhausted she is unable to work the typical two or three jobs she normally would, to supplement her income. If you know Lisa, you know she is always either working her day job, her Arbonne business or taking on yet another job doing deliveries all while caring for her two very active boys. She does all of this to ensure her boys have the very best life they deserve. The funds from this will give Lisa peace of mind that she will not get in debt while also fighting her battle with Cancer. Your donations would really help with the unforeseen expenses she will incur while not being able to work those additional jobs. The money will go towards things like grocery deliveries (when she cannot muster the energy to get out of bed), extra care for her boys (day/summer camps, sitters and or extracurriculars to keep them entertained and happy), takeout meals (for the days and nights she is too nauseous to cook), doggy daycare (to keep Milo exercised and cared for), out of pocket health care expenses and so much more.
