Support Lisa Minton Dean

Hi, my name is Kim Bailey and I have been friends with Lisa for many years. Lisa is one of the sweetest and strongest ladies I know. Please take time to read her story. Your kind donation will be used for medical expenses, travel expenses and support for her daughters Sophie and Gracie.

On Sunday, March 17th, Lisa was taken to the Emergency Room. In the ER, Lisa’s heart stopped and CPR was administered for over an hour. It was determined that Lisa was in heart failure and was diagnosed with cardiac bradycardia. She was put on a vent and was moved to cardiac ICU.

On Wednesday, March 20th, she was moved to ICU cardiac stepdown to regain strength so she could have a pacemaker put in.

On Tuesday, March 26th, the heart team decided to do a catherization before putting the pacemaker in. The heart cath went well but the medical staff determined she was not eligible for open heart surgery. Therefore, the medical staff recommended she receive a heart transplant. She will be referred to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

On Wednesday, March 27th, she received a pacemaker in order to keep her comfortable until she begins treatment at Vanderbilt.
