Support Lisa's Fight to Protect Vulnerable Children

Hello, I am Lisa McNett, the founder of One Breath Institute.

I am here asking you to help with some immediate assistance for a mother who is in need of protecting her children. We sponsored this family back in 2021 and I'll speak a little bit more to that after I speak to the immediate need. Now, we need $3,500 for an attorney fee to file a new parental agreement while the father of the children is in jail. He has been arrested for crimes unrelated to the abuse of the children and there is a chance that he could get out on bail. We need to file this updated agreement while he is currently in jail so that he cannot have access to these children if he is out for any period of time before his trial. The good news is that he is facing a lot of jail time and so this is really the end. This is the final step we need in order to really protect these children for good. Now, with him going to jail, she has also lost the child support that she has been getting. It's not a lot, but it's about $600 a month and so in addition, I'm asking for $5,000. I'm asking for us to be able to raise a total amount of $5,000 for this mother so that $3,500 is going to go to the attorney for the paperwork that needs to be filed and then some extra money to support her for the next couple of months in paying her bills.

A little bit of a trigger warning: we were helping this family back in 2021. So a lot of you, if you've been in our community for a long time, you may have made a donation. That donation went to support the mother when the abusive father was trying to gain full custody and take the children away from her. The young girls were being sexually abused, exploited, and trafficked. So, you helped us prevent him from being able to take the girls from her. You helped us with those legal fees, you helped us to get them into a safe home because they were living in a place that was unsafe, and you helped us to get new clothing for the kids as well. I'm in so much appreciation, she is in so much appreciation. The follow-up now is this: as I mentioned, he's been arrested. The charges are not related to the children, which is crazy, but it's multiple drug charges. He had lots of methamphetamine and marijuana in his home, he had paraphernalia, and he had lots of money. His intent to sell is very clear. In the state that they are in, should he get out on bond, he would still be able to see the children because he has partial custody. So please, please, please help me get this at least $3,500, but I'd love to meet the goal of $5,000 fast within one week. I would love to raise this for them so that they can once and for all, she can have her children fully to her. He will not have access to them and then this nightmare will be over and the family, especially the girls, can really start to heal. So thank you and please share this video.
