Support Lisa's Pets: Fluffy and Shiloh's Medical Care

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Lisa. I have a loving husband, Kevin, and two handsome sons. We have two cats that are a little over 2 years old, Pumpkin and Fluffy. Also, we have two dogs that we recently adopted from the shelter, Lucy (4 years) and Shiloh (1 year). In the past week, our household has been turned upside down with one issue after the next. We love our animals, and they are a part of our family. We, of course, did what we had to do, but with that, our family is now struggling. Below, I explain a little of our backstory and how we ended up in this sad situation and why I am asking for help from our family and friends. I know times are tough!! We appreciate everything and anything, even if it’s only you sharing this post.

I found my two cats within two months of each other. Pumpkin was found under a house at 6-8 weeks, and Fluffy was found in my neighbor's backyard with her eyes sealed shut with pink eye around the same age, 6-8 weeks. They were both abandoned by their mother. I took them in. Then Lucy and Shiloh I adopted from the Atlantic County Animal Shelter not even two months ago. Lucy is the sweetest 4-year-old girl with the sweetest eyes. Lucy does have a toy-getting habit and must have all toys. We are working on this with her. Shiloh is a sweet one-year-old girl who is having a tough go. She was in the emergency hospital the first night we brought her home. Her incision from being spayed had opened, and tissue was coming out. The poor girl had to have another surgery to get fixed. Since the dogs were still new to the household, the cats and dogs were being kept separate with a few interactions with supervision. Unfortunately, someone did not shut the door to the cats' room all the way, and the dogs were able to push in unsupervised. All was fine and good until Shiloh wanted to say hi to the cat Lucy was saying hi to. Lucy grabbed Fluffy by the mouth and unfortunately broke her jaw in 3 places. Fluffy has now had two surgeries to fix her jaw. The first was to try and put a metal plate and screws to save her jaw. That was a little over $8,800. That was not successful. So Fluffy had to have another surgery to have part of her jaw removed. While this was happening, Shiloh decided to swallow a piece of one of their toys. No one knew, so when she stopped eating and started vomiting, we were at a loss. We all thought maybe she ate some acorns. Well, again, this poor girl is in the emergency animal hospital. She was severely dehydrated and obviously having digestive issues. Luckily, she passed the blockage, a piece of her stuffed toy, on the vet's floor. So we were able to keep her from having to stay overnight but still had a bill of over $800.

The money raised will be used to pay off the animals hospital bills

We are fundraising to cover the medical expenses for our pets, Fluffy and Shiloh, who have both required emergency surgeries.
