Support Live Streams of Rare Birds & Ancestral Teachings

Hello Everyone!

I’m Edna van den Bosch, and BirdSouls is a project I started together with my son. What began as a simple hobby to bring some of the local community together has slowly transformed into something much more meaningful. BirdSouls is now creating an opportunity to bring attention to the preservation of these exotic, rare birds and their habitats in the Sierra Nevada.

We have built a great relationship with a U.S. company called PixCams, which is our first supporter. Their commitment to our mission enhances our ability to showcase the incredible wildlife here and underscores the importance of conservation.

Just as important, we are working to preserve the ancient knowledge the indigenous tribes hold about the animals and birds of this land—knowledge passed down from generation to generation. These birds carry sacred meanings and perform spiritual tasks in the life of the tribes. Through live streams, we’re able to showcase both the beauty of these birds and the deeper cultural significance they hold.

The funding we’re asking for will help us continue this work by allowing us to purchase solar systems, satellite systems, and cameras for new remote locations deeper in the jungle. These technologies will power the equipment needed to live stream, helping us share the beauty of these birds and the wisdom of the indigenous people with the world.

Cabling and Accessories: $500

Laptop: $1,000

5 Starlink Units: $2,995

Drones for Aerial Monitoring: $2,500

Weatherproof Enclosures for Equipment: $1,000

Portable Power Stations: $1,600

Additional Camera Accessories (batteries, mounts, etc.): $400

Transportation Costs (fuel, vehicle maintenance, etc.): $1,500

Shipping Costs for Equipment: $1,000

Power Tools (saw, drill, etc.): $1,500

Rechargeable Batteries (for cameras and tools): $500

Internet Subscriptions:

5 Internet Subscriptions (at $50 each per month for 12 months): $3,000
