Support Liz’s Recovery from Dog Attack
Donation protected
My name is Jessie and I am raising funds to benefit one of my very closest friends. She would never ask for the help, but she has suffered six months of lost wages, in addition to increased expenses due to her extensive medical treatment and travel to weekly appointments. She suffered a work-related injury in January when she was mauled by two Tibetan mastiffs belonging to Lee Asher of Asher House. She has since been unable to return to her position as an animal caretaker for Asher House, and she has also been unable to take on training clients as a CPDT-KA dog trainer.
This is compounded by the fact that she has multiple medical providers, caring for her extensive wounds sustained during the attack, as well as pet care expenses incurred during the time she was unable to be home alone and needed around the clock care.
We all know that Worker’s Comp. does not cover 100% of lost wages and it does not reimburse for these extra expenses.
As you can imagine, it is unclear when or if she will be able to return to the kind of work, she was doing. This kind of incident carries permanent damage. If you are able to donate, please do and if you are not, please send your best wishes to Liz so that she can heal from this horrific ordeal, and not suffer more loss than she already has.
