Help Local Artist Heal from Injury

My name is Mary, and I'm writing on behalf of my good friend, Shawn. Shawn Gilheeney is a self-employed artist, and prolific sign painter from Rhode Island who owns and runs his own business that many of us know and admire.

Shawn is not just a masterful painter but a cherished friend renowned for his unwavering commitment to spreading joy and supporting his community. His work adorns countless establishments, walls, and building fronts spanning New England and beyond.

Recently Shawn faced a setback—a traumatic injury to his dominant hand, resulting in the loss of his index finger and significant damage to his middle finger. Amidst the surgeries and medical bills, Shawn's productivity is set back as he navigates his way to recovery. It's during this time of healing that we are turning to our community for assistance in upholding the legacy of his work. Shawn is anxious and excited to get back to work creating beautiful things for the people around him! 

While his team, friends, and family work to help facilitate what work needs to get done, we would be eternally grateful for any financial support you are able to give to help in the chapter ahead. Due to the nature of Shawn's work, he's not entitled to take a paid leave to focus on healing. We would love to be able to provide Shawn with the peace of mind to focus on recovery, versus churning out work to stay afloat. Your funds will go into supporting the team, and helping keep his vision alive until Shawn has recovered and is able to kick back up to 100% (who are we kidding...150%) productivity. The raised funds would help balance out the temporary change in pace over the next several months and support pay any additional help we may need to hire in order to navigate the road ahead.
