Support Local Community Organizer & Single Parent

My name is Maggie Scotece, and I am raising money for a Columbus local community organizer and single parent struggling financially. They have spent decades caring for the Columbus community in movement spaces, including reproductive justice, racial justice, immigration justice, and many more. They are currently dealing with a financially abusive ex-partner and going through a rough divorce which has depleted their savings and left them saddled with debt. Additionally, they cannot afford to retain legal counsel on their own to protect them and their children from ongoing emotional and financial abuse. I am raising money to help provide for them and their children's basic needs and obtain legal counsel so they can finally get divorced and start their new life. I am raising money for them anonymously to protect their privacy as well as the privacy of their children. Still, I have their full consent to raise money on their behalf and will happily provide updates on when funds are dispersed to them.
