In an effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19 we made the tough decision to close our doors at our SOCIAL Costa Mesa and SOCIAL Huntington Beach restaurants to protect our team members and our guests. This immediate closure sadly meant furloughing our amazing team members. This global pandemic has changed our lives as we know it.

However, we can’t sit back and not take action — we will fight.
Fight to keep our doors open.
Fight to feed all unemployed hospitality workers.
Fight to employ our people again.

The hospitality industry and the people who have served, bartended, cooked, cleaned and helped us operate our concept deserve relief.

So, we’re calling on our friends to help us in our efforts of SERVING THOSE WHO SERVE.

Here’s what we are doing:

Beginning Wednesday, April 1st 7am-11am and through the duration of the “shelter in place” order,  we are committed to SERVING THOSE WHO SERVE  every day that we are open — at no cost to them.

Who: All unemployed, furloughed hospitality employees and all frontline workers.
What: They will receive our famous Drive Thru Burger & Fries, Brussels Sprouts, Bottled Water and Toilet Paper.
When: Thursday - Saturday 4pm to 8:30pm
Where: SOCIAL Costa Mesa, 512 W.19th Street. Costa Mesa, Ca 92627
How: Simply show us your pay stub and receive your goods

*Please know we will be honoring the 6ft social distancing enforcements and will be using contactless transactions as much as possible*

Now, here’s how you can help:

1) Continue to order take out from SOCIAL Costa Mesa  (beginning 4/2/20) and other restaurants to keep employees employed and all of us in business.
2) Donate to this campaign.
3) then be a gem and share this with others, to help others.

Social Restaurant Group Fundraising Goal is: $25,000

Your help ensures that we can continue SERVING THOSE WHO SERVE and that when the time comes, we can EAT,  DRINK and be SOCIAL again.

More than 800,000 people in Los Angeles County and Orange County work in hospitality, 12.7% of our  total workforce. Nationwide, that number climbs to approximately 15 million people, making the hospitality industry the fifth largest in the United States.

Trump predicts 11% of restaurants will go out of business in the next 30 days and he recently said, “Restaurants will re-open,  just maybe under new owners.”

We will fight every day to ensure that this is not the case with SOCIAL.

More about SOCIAL Restaurant Group:

SOCIAL Costa Mesa opened its doors to the Orange County community in 2014 with one goal: making dining out fun again. Our share plate concept and cheeky craft cocktails, mixed with old school hip hop and amazing hospitality creates an addicting vibe you can’t duplicate anywhere else.

Since 2014 SOCIAL has become a neighborhood staple. Its owners have grown the concept while also growing their families. In 2015, 2016 and 2018 they welcomed little social-lites into the world and in 2019 they opened their second location, SOCIAL Huntington Beach.

We are passionate about the hospitality industry.
We cannot sit back and hope for relief.
We must fight to keep our business and our dreams alive.
