Support Logan Donald - the journey; a story from hope to healing!

 

Starting April 27th, 2022 Logan will start attending The Goodale School in Asheville, NC. Logan is hopeful as he looks to this opportunity as one that will allow him to heal, grow, and launch him into the next season of life.

The  program is a 10-month experience with a group of other teens facing similar feelings and issues. The Goodale School and Recovery Community is a therapeutic boarding school for adolescent boys, ages 14- to 17-years old, who struggle with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We empower our students to work through their substance use, grief, trauma,  and gain the skills they will need to live a healthy, fulfilling life. We support our students and their families as they work together to build a foundation for sustained recovery.

 

Our Need:

The lack of finances is the number 1 concern for us as Logan began this journey. We have been overwhelmed at the amount of love and support we have already received. Logan has already been able to spend 18 days at a semi-wilderness facility with the outpouring of support. We have been bale to cover nearly 60% of the cost already through scholarships, individuals, and businesses! Thank you!

 

As we humbly come before you, with what seems like an impossible task, we first ask you to partner with us in prayer as we walk down this road as a family contending for our son's future. Secondly, to prayerfully sow financially into the cost of Logan’s tuition and expenses at Goodale School.

 

By financially sowing into the program, you will be sowing into our family and Logan as he urgently needs appropriate and effective mental health and substance abuse intervention.

 

We know this is a huge ask, and we believe that what is given will be multiplied with abundance through our Father, Jesus Christ.

We are believing in His promises: "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38

 

Donations:
Your donation will go towards tuition and expenses to send Logan to The Goodale School. Any funds in access will cover Logan's medical costs from recent hospitalizations and go-fund-me fees. We also believe it is essential to sow back into the programs that sowed into him and to support more youth who finds themselves in the same position financially that we are in today. It quickly became apparent at the lack of resources for mental health care in general, not to mention help for teens, and we have researched over 85 different places. If you are a family member have struggled with finding the best mental health treatment for a child, please reach out to us and we would love to share our journey in more depth so they can find healing as well.
