Please help Loki and Diablo's Healing Journey

Hi it’s Boo. The weekend of August 24, 2024 was an absolute nightmare. My dog Loki is sick and I was trying to nurse him back to health since the previous Thursday. I am having no luck. I knew Saturday I was going to be taking him to the vet I did not know how bad he actually is until I got there Monday morning. In the meantime, on the same Saturday night, my Diablo cat is minding his own business in my front yard at around 3am when he was attacked by a pit bull. We rushed Diablo to the Kalamazoo Emergency Animal Hospital as soon as we were able to locate him. He had took off after the dog dropped him out of its mouth. Diablo suffered 2 puncture wounds in his chest and he needed his front left leg amputated due to the extensive damage cause by the dog bite. The emergency hospital visit is $1,142 and the surgery to amputate his leg is going to be $1,000 the following Tuesday. We took every dollar we could come up with to make this happen for Diablo. He is in recovery now but needs to go to his regular vet for after surgery check up. With all this going on with Diablo I still have a sick Loki to take to the vet Monday. At this point Loki hasnt eaten for a couple days and hasn’t went poopy for a couple days. Monday he was hospitalized at the vet and treated for kidney failure and other misc. issues his bloodwork showed he is having. The vets office closed for Labor Day weekend so Loki came home Thursday with many medications, special foods we have to force feed him and instructions to make sure he is drinking lots of water to continue flushing his system at home since he wasn’t going to be getting fluids via iv for the 4 day weekend. He has a recheck on Tuesday after the holiday for bloodwork, as long as he makes it over the weekend. That’s actually what the vet said to me. I received the medication instructions and the bill for services rendered so far from the vet totaling $2,995. Not including upcoming visits. Loki and Diablo are doing well over the holiday weekend. In fact I think they are both doing much better than expected, but we still have a long way to go before they are rehabilitated. Please keep them both in your prayers and if you are able, we would greatly appreciate any donation you could offer. Were fighting a long hard road out of hell. But these guys are survivors. And they have a whole family of people who won’t quit on them. And they are my babies. My reason for breathing. They are my sunshine. They have to be ok. I love them so much!
