I'm Lonna.

I do a lot of dope things on the low, but this next endeavor is for the streets.

I'm opening NEFER Bookcafe´ in The Bronx, NY. It's a space I've designed as a physical manifestation of my ethos. A humble life of seeking, experience, service and love.

Located in the Wakefield section of The Bronx, NEFER is an experience that encourages slowing down, wonder, curiosity, and deep thinking on topics that are worthy of who we are — the ones that give us courage to heal ourselves and others from the damage of grind culture and social divisions.

We value ease. We're made up of liberated minds, critical thinkers, highly sensitive, rebellious people committed to nurturing identity, joy, and purpose through reading and conversations.

Our spot, book clubs, workshops, lectures, and readings gently agitate and dislodge limiting and dehumanizing beliefs and push us to behave like we are capable of doing difficult things, believe we are necessary in this world, and love with, as, and for one another.

It sounds like a lot, but it's what everyone is seeking when they say they're here for the vibes. We've got the technique.

From the coffee to the books to wine, each product is tinctured with care for the mind, body, and soul.

I've had a wild time as a communications strategist, certified teacher (Pre-K to college), journalist, ghostwriter, and entrepreneur. I've spent intimate time with people in all parts of the human experience—even the souls on the other side—and here's what I know: We are all seeking and practicing. NEFER is where we meet.

My money is invested. But bottomless where? Save that for mimosas! While I will eventually seek grants and maybe loans, this is all me pulling from a limited, personal investment.
