Support Lorena's Fight Against Gastric Cancer

Hello everyone, my name is Alexandra, oldest daughter of Lorena. I am reaching out to my community in the hopes to be able to support my mom in any way I can. My mom recently got diagnosed with Gastric Cancer and with uncertainty of how high medical bills will be, I would like to ease the stress off my mom. She always makes it a priority to look after others, and we would like to return the favor to her.

Currently, we are looking into resources and types of procedures she will have to take. So far she has an appointment to understand how developed this cancer is, and pray that it is only in the early stages.

We are currently navigating the health care system to find ways to alleviate the full weight of how costly medical bills/procedures will be. She recently had to quit one of her jobs to increase her chances of getting health insurance. So with that being said, she does worry about financial stability. She will also have to miss days off of work to be able to go to doctors appointments and overall take care of herself, along with my younger brother and sister who are in high school.

She will have to undergo surgery and chemo procedures in the near future so that means she will not be able to go to work for some time when it happens. While she is out, we would like for her to not worry about taking time off and instead take time to focus on her own recovery process. We are unsure with how much everything will be, but we will appreciate any support we get.

We will make sure to update you all with her progress and have faith that everything will be okay. If any of you have experienced something similar or know any available resources to help us through this life-changing event, we will deeply appreciate it. My siblings and I, would like to grow old with our mom, anything helps.
