Help Lori Duhon fight NSCLC
Donation protected
The morning of December 19, 2022 we found out that Lori Duhon has a “fist sized” mass in her left lung that tested positive for non-small cell adenocarcinoma (non small cell lung cancer). The next day we did another procedure to find out that other parts of her lungs (lymph node in center of chest) also tested positive for NSCLC so surgery is not an option at this point, leading us to a treatment plan including but not limited to chemo, radiation, a combo of both, or more is in the near future for our family. We will be meeting with an oncologist next week to figure out what plan will be best for Lori and more details about her specific case.
We are extremely hopeful at this time that we will hear promising news from the doctor next week and attack this head on with as much spirit as Lori has shown her entire life. As a single mom of three boys and now raising her 7 year old granddaughter she is no stranger to hardship and stacked odds. She is holding strong through this tough season with the love and support of those near and far thinking and praying for her daily and even sometimes hourly. ❤️
Lori has always shown unconditional love and hospitality for those she loves and even those she has just met. If you ask around you can always find someone she has fed or even housed in their time of need and never asked anything in return other than their safety. As an independent woman she has a hard time asking for help and has always made a way for herself and those around her by working tirelessly. I believe it’s time for her to rest and take care of herself for once, don’t you?
When we first got the news one of the first things Lori started to worry about, like many of us would, is the financial toll she is about to take on. Countless doctor appointments, treatment recovery, possible surgery, medications, missed work, medical bills, and much more are about to pile up for her no matter what the news may be. Her family has been thinking of how to help and we will do our very best to support her but made this for her friends to also help her with any donations to ease her stress while fighting with cancer this year. She needs to be able to rest and truly recover with all her strength and I believe this is the best way we can offer that to her!
Thanks for reading this far- Have a wonderful holiday season with your family and cherish every moment ❤️
