UPDATE - Saturday, March 8th, 2025

Rest in Peace Lieutenant Lou Crotteau 610 ...
For those praying already and for those that hadn't seen any posts about Lt. Lou Crotteau of the Elba Fire Department (Lapeer Resident)
Lou passed away at 10:39 p.m., March 7, 2025. Trisha said he went well, and she knows the gates of Heaven opened wide for him to go home. Lou was a 31-year Veteran in the fire department.
Please continue prayers for Trisha and her kids. Trisha won't know until maybe next week if she can get her job back, but she's going need strength in the coming days through making funeral plans and figuring out finances that Lou handled.
Our hearts are breaking for her and their 3 children as they say goodbye to their father ... a strong hero, their rock, and supporter. Trisha lost her best friend, high school sweetheart, love of her life and partner. As a firefighter's wife, you always live on the edge with every firefighter call, but to lose him to a massive heart attack at age 49 is shocking.
Please reach out to the GOFUNDME which will help the family in the months ahead. Lou was the main provider of the household. We are asking for financial support, prayers and to share this GOFUNDME and the remarkable Legacy of Lt. Lou Crotteau 610.
Lou, you will be missed. You were a warrior and fought a battle, now Rest in Peace.

Isaiah 41:10
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Dear Friends, Family, and Faith Community,

My name is Deborah Dusseau, and I'm a friend of the Crotteau Family. I come to you with a heavy but hopeful heart as we support Lou Crotteau, a husband, father, and friend to many. Trisha, his beloved wife of 26 years, along with their 3 children, desperately need our financial support and prayers.

On February 25th, 2025, Lou suffered a massive heart attack. He was rushed to the hospital where he arrested on the table and was down for 25 minutes. He was transferred to Henry Ford Hospital and is now on the most advanced life support possible. We are praying that his heart will gain enough strength to receive an LVAD device. This would support Lou's heart until a transplant becomes available. Currently, he is in critical condition.

Lou, the main source of income for his family, works as a Building Code Official for the City of Detroit and is also a 30-year Firefighter with the Elba Township Fire Department. Trisha worked as a Family Childcare Network Specialist and currently as an Early Learning Outreach Specialist for the Holly School District. Lou and Trisha reside in Lapeer, MI, and attend Owasso Free Methodist Church.

We are asking for your prayers, love, and any financial support you can offer to ease the weight of their expenses during this sacred time. Your generosity will allow Trisha to focus on what matters most—cherishing every moment with her husband—without the added stress of financial hardship while he heals.

If Lou and Trisha have ever touched your life through their ministry, friendship, prayers, or kindness, we invite you to walk alongside them now. Lou knows no weakness; he is a strong man, and we are trusting in God's plan even in the midst of uncertainty. Together, as a family, they will walk this road with grace, knowing that God is still good.

Thank you for lifting them up in prayer, for giving as you feel led, and for being a part of their testimony of faith and endurance. May God bless you abundantly for your kindness. No amount is too small, and every donation is a tangible expression of God's love and provision.

With gratitude and faith,
Deborah Dusseau, friend
