Support Louise Harvey

On May 15th Louise woke up with pins and needles in her hands and by the evening her legs were heavy and torso was numb. Her ability to walk and use her hands deteriorated significantly over the next few days, until a brain and spine MRI at the ER revealed Multiple Sclerosis. Louise has no family history of MS, where the immune system attacks the protection around the nerves. It is not contagious but there is no cure, and it can affect balance, cause fatigue and numbness in the body, vision issues, neurological issues and temperature regulation.

Funds given will go toward Louise’s expenses relating to MS, including medical bills from her five night hospital stay, MRIs, ongoing treatment and transport. MS symptoms are hugely aggravated by the heat so Ubers will be more necessary in the humid D.C. summer. If you’d like to contribute any funds will be gratefully received by Louise.
