Support & Love for Leslie McBee
My sister Leslie McBee was in a life threatening car accident Christmas Eve morning. Leslie is an LPN and was on her way home from working a 12 hour shift when she was hit head on by an individual texting and driving. She was airlifted to Erlanger in Chattanooga and went into surgery to repair both fractured femurs and a laceration on her hand. Other injuries include two tibial plateau fractures, breaks in both knees, scalp laceration, a broke rib, a brain bleed, and a liver laceration. She is currently stable in the Trauma ICU. She has an amazing support system and is expected to recover. That goes without saying it will be a long road to recovery. My baby sister and best friend is the most humble and selfless person I know. She is beautiful inside and out. It is her true passion to serve and care for others and it is going to be difficult for her to transition to being the one needing taken care of. Any words of encouragement are welcome.
Once the swelling subsides in her lower extremities an orthopedic surgeon will operate on both knees and lower legs. Leslie will be confined to a wheelchair for a minimum of 3 months before she is able to learn to walk again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has sent prayers, support , love, and encouragement. Please do not feel obligated to donate. Any amount at all is greatly appreciated. Please pray for Leslie and our family. The donations will go towards medical needs, bills, and general expenses while she’s out of work and recovering.
May the power of prayer provide peace, comfort, strength, hope, and healing during this hardship.
