**Support Lt. Aldrim Castillo: His Battle Against Cirrhosis and the Quest for a New Liver**
Hello, everyone! I’m Lt. Aldrim Castillo, and I have proudly served as a firefighter in Orange County, Florida, since January 2009. Growing up amidst the vibrant chaos of Miami has equipped me to handle nearly any situation—except for this one.
In 2015, I was promoted to lieutenant and have been stationed at the remarkable Station 72 C, where my team and I have tackled numerous challenges together. However, I now face one of my greatest challenges yet: a recent diagnosis of cirrhosis stemming from autoimmune hepatitis.
As a 39-year-old father to three wonderful children—Avia, Mila, and Luca—my foremost concern extends beyond my health; it encompasses the future and welfare of my family. My children are my entire world, and while they may be more interested in what’s for dinner than my health, I am resolute in my commitment to be present for them in the long run.
I am accustomed to rushing into burning buildings, but this diagnosis has placed me in a different kind of battle—one that I cannot fight alone. With mounting medical expenses, ongoing treatments, and the need to remain strong for my family, I find myself in need of support. Think of this as a call for help from the firehouse—this time, I’m the one reaching out.
If you are able to contribute in any capacity—whether through financial support, sharing this message, or simply sending positive thoughts—it would mean the world to my family and me. Every bit helps, and as I often remind my team, “Teamwork makes the dream work!”
Thank you for standing by my side during this challenging time. With a bit of humor, love, and support, I am confident we will navigate this journey together.
Respectfully,
Lt. Aldrim Castillo
