Support Lucas to Feed the Homeless

Hey, my name is Lucas Johnson. Sandwich Party Sunday RI is a community event started by my father in 2018. What we do is set up tents and tables at any public place we can(right now Roger Williams Park) and make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to feed the less fortunate. We also fill each bag with snacks and give out water. Our goal is to help the homeless population to be filled with love, nutrients, and spirit to hopefully go on and make a better life for themselves. Unfortunately we all were hit by Covid and the homeless numbers are only rising. My father had to stop in 2020 due to Covid and was never able to get back on his feet enough to restart this beautiful event. I've been planning to get it back and running for months, and had my first successful trial run Sunday June 2. I myself made 50 sandwiches, bought granola bars, tents, tables, even tangerines and went to Kennedy Plaza to deliver to our homeless community. Unfortunately this is unsustainable to do myself as all of that cost around 400 dollars. You guys reading this right now are my only hope to continue this dream of mine. And together I believe we can make a real difference in our community. Money is not the only way to donate as well you can donate your time to help make sandwiches or pass out food. You can bring bread, peanut butter, jelly, snacks, waters, even a loving spirit go's a long way. If you made it this far I really appreciate your attention. And my one promise to you is anything you do to help, you will not regret it.
