Support Mighty Robot Tiger Lucas's Battle Against DIPG

On Sunday, August 18th, Andraya’s & Pete’s lives were turned upside down. What started as a normal day for their 6 year old son Lucas, who happily swam at a friend's birthday party, very quickly progressed into a living nightmare. A trip to the ER turned into an ambulance ride to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. And after further testing, they received MRI results which ultimately provided the news that no one wanted to hear.

Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) was Lucas’s diagnosis. DIPG is a highly aggressive brain stem tumor located on the Pons. Due to the location of the tumor, it is considered inoperable with very limited options for treatment. DIPG affects 200-300 children per year and holds a very low long-term survival rate.

The heartbreak and devastation that Andraya and Pete are experiencing is something that no one should ever have to endure. Their prayers and hopes are high and they are accepting nothing short of a MIRACLE for Lucas.

Lucas is the center of their world and is a sweet, special and energetic boy who recently started first grade at South Side Elementary, loves his family, animals, stuffies, robots and dancing. He does not deserve to become another statistic.
