Support Lucas's Recovery from Heart Surgery

My name is Michelle Salvatore. I am starting this GoFundMe page for my daughter and her family. Lucas, our son-in-law, was having chest pains last evening, so he was rushed to the ER by ambulance. We expected something to be wrong, but little did we know he would have an aortic tear. Lucas went into surgery about 2:30 this morning and came out about 7:30. The surgeon said everything appeared to go well. He will be in ICU recovering for a few days to a week. He is sedated right now and vented. This is to let his body rest and recover from such a traumatic experience and surgery. This is a very serious situation that my daughter’s family has been put into overnight. Literally, Lucas will have a lengthy recovery time most likely and be out of work. At this point, we don’t really know what this is all going to mean. We would appreciate any donation, from one dollar to whatever you can give. It’s all important, and it all adds up. Thank you so much for all the love you have shown us in rallying around our family. This has all been an emotional roller coaster, and I’m sure it will continue to be for weeks to come.
