My name is Luna Campbell. I am a 25y/o trans woman attempting to move quickly with very little funding after being kicked out. I have a few options before me but the recent hurricane has dashed my rescue attempts, and all leave me stuck in a bad environment for at least a few weeks. Anything you can provide will help a lot.
I plan to use the funds in one of two ways:
- Buy a plane ticket with baggage to fly me to my polycule out of state.
- Buy a car and drive WITH all of my things to get out.
Flying is the quickest and cheapest option, but I am so willing to save for a car. I will need one eventually for a job and with it I can bring all of my things with me! I won't have to leave any of my clothes or books or personal things that I can't all take on a plane. I have savings for this, specifically (~$1500), but it's still not much. I'd need to cover any replacement parts, fixes, insurance, registration, gas, etc.
Costs I'm estimating:
- Flight ($350): ~$250 flight + $100 baggage
- Car ($1200): $500 towards purchase + $300 gas cross country + $200 first month's insurance + $30 registration/plates + $? parts
