Support Lupita's Final Farewell Expenses

Guadalupe "Lupita" Vasquez Aviles, age 28, earned her angel wings on Saturday, August 17, 2024, after having a heart failure. An amazing daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and ally to the undocumented, Chicano, and Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community, she had so much love and heart to give until her heart couldn't no more. When Lupita, a vibrant and kind soul, was called to paradise, her family wasn't ready. Lupita's family still needs $11,000 to help cover her funeral expenses so that she can be buried on September 27, 2024.

Please help us raise money to pay for her final farewell during this very painful time. All donations will go to her sister Maricela Vazquez and father German Vasquez, who are in charge of making her funeral arrangements. Any money left after funeral expenses have been paid will be donated to a local community college (Mt. San Antonio College) as a form of scholarship(s) so that other students that share Lupita's background will have an opportunity to reduce financial barriers while they're in college.

Una increíble hija, hermana, tía, amiga y aliada de varias comunidades (indocumentad@s, chican@s, sorda y con problemas de audición), tenía tanto amor y corazón para dar hasta que su corazón no pudo más. Cuando Lupita, una alma vibrante y bondadosa, fue llamada al paraíso, su familia no estaba lista. La familia de Lupita todavía necesita $11,000 para ayudar a cubrir los gastos del funeral y pueda ser enterrada el 27 de septiembre de 2024.
