On August 5, 2024, a day after his 46th birthday, my brother, Lutalo Henderson was found burned beyond recognition in a shopping cart under a bridge in Yonkers, New York. The crime committed against him was brutal and horrific, something no person should ever have to endure.
Lutalo was an amazing person, a devoted father, brother, son, uncle and friend. He worked as a Structured Cabling Technician and had a love for reading, animals, music, cooking, and enjoying life.
Lutalo was always eager to help others, even if someone declined his help he would insist on lending a hand. That’s the kind of person Lutalo was—selfless and giving.
He was a man of his word and loved his daughter deeply. She’s about to turn 17 and will soon graduate from high school and head to college. Her dad, my brother Lutalo, never missed a graduation or a birthday. This year will be the first of many he will miss.
Unfortunately, our family was not prepared for this tragedy. His beautiful daughter, who deserves a second chance, needs all the support she can get during this difficult time. The donations we receive will help contribute to her education.
If you are able to donate, we would be sincerely grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and may God bless you all.
