Support Mable's Life-Saving Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
My name is Mable Mideva Wala. I am a 42-year-old Kenyan seamstress and a single mother of a 14-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. I was diagnosed with kidney failure, last stage, four years ago, in 2021. I also have resistant hypertension. I was put on dialysis twice weekly. Ever since, life has been very tough. Constant dialysis is incredibly challenging both physically and mentally.
Apart from dialysis, I was put on medication that requires 5,000 Kenyan Shillings ($40) per week. Even though I am working full-time as a seamstress, I don't always have enough money to afford the medication. Therefore, there are some weeks I have to miss, which leads to worsening blood pressure and weakening of my overall health. The doctors are also concerned as my heart is weakening. I am in desperate need of a new kidney. Fortunately, I have found a donor, my amazing nephew.
So, I am here to request your support towards a much-needed kidney transplant. I need 3 million Kenyan Shillings ($23,000) for this surgery. This would cover the costs for both the donor (my nephew) and myself. It will also cover the costs for medication after surgery for both of us, around 50,000 Kenyan Shillings ($400) per month for up to 6 months.
I humbly ask you to support me towards this cause, so that I can go back to a normal, healthy life again, with the strength to spend quality time with my kids. Even the simplest things such as urinating normally is something I look forward to one day.
Thank you all again for your kindness and support on this journey.
