Support Mackenzie's Residency at Watershed

Hello All,

I am a ceramic artist and community supporter based here in Philadelphia Pa. I've been working in clay for over 15 years, and more professionally in the last 5 years. I make functional work using hand dyed clay layered in traditional Japanese style of Nerikomi to create agate like surfaces. Because of this process each piece is unique but also has a familial sense when all my products are grouped together.

I am raising funds for a residency program that I've been accepted to at the end of the summer at Watershed center for the ceramic arts in Newcastle, ME. This residency will consist of myself along with 15 other artists from all across the USA who share a desire to build creative networks that facilitate community engagement.

Here is a brief idea of the advertized residency:

Many ceramists have an inherent interest in their work’s potential to spark connection and facilitate interaction. Outside the studio, ceramic tableware supports opportunities for gathering, breaking bread, and engaging with one another. During the session, all of these processes will converge as participating artists discuss common challenges and questions they face while working to build meaningful connections among populations of diverse backgrounds and interests.

With your help I will be able to attend this residency, travel to the residency with all of my materials needed for my time, enjoy the time at the residency without stressing covering the full cost of the residency.

Each contributor will receive a keepsake after my residency. This object will be made during the residency, as a thank you for your support
