Support Maddy's Family

We are reaching out with heavy hearts, asking for prayers and support for my stepsister, Maddy Waters, her husband, Joche, and their three children —Charlotte (4), Jack (4), and Oliver (1).

Last night, Maddy suffered an unexpected cardiac arrest and is now fighting for her life in the ICU. She is currently in a medically induced coma, and we are holding on to hope as the doctor's work to stabilize her. In the days to come, she will undergo more testing, including evaluations of neurological impact, as we wait for answers and next steps. The road ahead will be long and difficult, but if there’s one thing we know about Maddy, it’s that she is strong, determined, and full of love for her family, especially her husband and three children.

Maddy is not only an incredible wife and mother but also a dedicated nurse at KU Med, a loving sister, daughter, granddaughter, friend, and niece. She has spent her life caring for others, and now it’s our turn to rally around her and her family.
