Help Me Become an ASL Interpreter!
Hi, my name is Madeleine Ball and I’m fundraising to help afford tuition for RIT’s ASL-English Interpretation program. Becoming an ASL interpreter has been my dream since I was young. Growing up, I learned more about Deaf culture and fell in love with the language. I want to help bridge communication gaps and be part of a world where accessibility isn’t an afterthought, but a given.
I have always been driven to help others; as of now, I am currently part of a 10-month residential federal volunteer service program called AmeriCorps NCCC. As much as I love the service I am doing, this opportunity has not given me the ability to save much money. I’ve worked hard to get to this point, but tuition costs are a major hurdle. RIT’s program is one of the best in the country, and I know that with the right education, I can develop the skills needed to serve the Deaf community with respect and fluency.
Any amount helps—whether it’s $5 or just sharing this fundraiser. Thank you for believing in me and for helping make this dream possible!
