Support Maher's fight against cancer

My name is Mariam Fattah, I have made this GoFundMe on behalf of my family and our father, Maher Fattah.

In late June of 2023, our dad was hospitalized and diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The cancer was first detected in his lungs, and later in his brain, hip, and kidney.

He has undergone various treatments over the course of the last 7 months including targeted radiation, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. These treatments by nature have been extremely aggressive, taking a toll on his body and mind. He has been in and out of hospitals to receive care for the major physical side effects brought on by these courses of treatment.

Last week he was admitted for the severe effects immunotherapy had on his body, and it has been a battle every day since. He was moved to the intensive care unit where he remains, fighting for his life. We know he is fighting for his family.

My dad is a man who values his family and friendships more than anything else in the world. He is a dedicated husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather. He is a brother, an uncle, a true example of kindness and love.

Although we do not know what the future holds, we know that right now there is a price that comes with my dad fighting this disease, and the rising medical costs are exponential. I’m making this in the hopes that we may be able to offset that burden.
