Support Mai Yia Moua's Cancer Battle

Hello, on behalf of my brother and sister-in-law, Mick Vang and Mai Yia Moua, our family started this gofundme to assist with Mai Yia's medical bills.

Mai Yia has been battling various cancers for the past 2 years. In Sept 2022, doctors discovered a brain tumor and had to have emergency surgery right away. She was hospitalized for 41 days and lost her vision since the tumor sat on her optic nerve. She underwent 3 radiation sessions in 1 month and chemo therapy twice a month for 6 months. Just as she was finishing up the last chemo session, the doctors discovered cancer in her thyroid. She went in for surgery for that and they also found that the cancer had spread to her upper right lobe lung and had to have another surgery for that. In Oct 2023, Mai Yia had a 2nd brain surgery to remove water cysts on her brain which was followed up with more radiation and chemotherapy for narcosis brain scarring.

Mai Yia's brain is still swollen and doctors cannot figure out why the swelling won't go down. She suffers from headaches everyday and cannot work due to this. They have been drowning with medical bills so we wanted to reach out and ask our community to help support our brother and sister.
