Update (10/31/2024): Austin is feeling everyone’s prayers, he got his tube taken out yesterday and he is awake. All glory to God, we ask for continued prayers for Austin’s brain and support as he navigates the road to recovery.
Update: (10/27/2024): Austin is stable, but still critical. Please continue to lift up Austin, Malia, and their family in prayers! Our God is a God of miracles!
On Friday (10/25/2024), our friends Malia and her fiancé Austin were traveling in their pickup truck on their way down from Tennessee to meet their parents in Alabama for their father’s birthday. Malia’s brother, Justice and his girlfriend Adrian were following behind them in their own vehicle. A tire/rim combo came loose from what is believed to be a trailer and flew into their windshield. Malia escaped with cuts, bumps and bruises, and is extremely shaken up. Austin ended up receiving the brunt of the impact. Austin was life-flighted to the hospital and is currently in very critical condition, but stable. Malia’s father returned to the scene during daylight hours in hopes of locating the tire and was successful in finding it. They are still working to locate the trailer that the wheel came from.
Prayers are desperately needed as we await to hear more about Austin’s condition. We will post the latest updates as we get them here. We are asking for financial help to offset the growing expenses related to this tragic situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated as they navigate the road ahead. Any contributions and sharing this link will help immensely.
Thank you in advance.
