Support Manatee Farms After Storm Devastation

I am Walter Preston. My family's farm, Manatee Farms, has been operating for over 100 years, starting operations in Manatee County in 1892. Unfortunately, on September 26, 2024, Hurricane Helene severely damaged the farm with an 8-foot storm surge that covered all of the plants in the greenhouses and fields, as well as all of our farm equipment. Then, on October 9th, 2024 Hurricane Milton brought over 100mph winds that destroyed the greenhouses, flooded the fields once again, and left the entrances to the fields blocked with trees. We are currently trying to salvage what is left, but it is very likely to be a 100% loss on the crops and a 90% loss on the farm equipment.

We have established this GoFundMe to keep our employees paid until we are able to begin operations again. Any contribution helps, as the workforce here at Manatee Farms is the most crucial aspect of our business.
