Support Mania's Move for a Safer Future

Hi there! Many may know me as Mania, one of many paleoartists and dinonerds out there!

Here's my story:

I'm a 25 year old who's looking to move in with some friends in Florida! Right now the only job I'm able to work is at the zoo and it's only part-time. I make around $300 or less every 2 weeks. This makes it hard for me to save up for the move. My partner works as well but her hours tend to fluctuate between 20-30 hours/week and all of it goes towards the bills of our current apartment that includes our rent of around $1k/month and our groceries while my paychecks go towards the electric, internet, and food for our pets. So, as you could imagine, it's hard to save up!

My partner's longtime friends offered to have us move in with them in Florida to help us get back on our feet and look for much better opportunities down there (which we've found some!). They've offered to cover the entirety of the security deposit and the first month's rent, so we just need to make up the funds for the move! This includes getting a shipping pod (which could range between $1200-1500), food and gas for our drive down (most likely a close 16-17 hour drive with gas stops, pet stops, and food stops), and the ability to get groceries and whatnot when we settle in!

Honestly, anything helps us as this would mean better job opportunities and safety with the friends we're living with as we live in an area surrounded by people who aren't so friendly towards the LGBTQ+ community.
