Support for Mara

Whether she's held your back during your first wheel pose, or your legs when you took your first handstand hop...or you've cried on her shoulder, or she's celebrated your greatest joys, Mara is a constant, loyal teacher and friend, who never asks for anything in return. And even now, in a moment of great need, it took much convincing for her to allow me to ask for your help on her behalf.

Most of you know that Mara lost her beloved big sister, Leah, just a few weeks ago, but she also is facing medical issues of her own and is now hospitalized... Without health insurance, and without income for nearly a month.

So many people have asked how they can help, and believe me, she is grateful beyond words for each and every person who has cared enough to ask.

But many people have asked or wondered what more they can do in a more tangible way, which is why I convinced her to let me set this up for all of us who so want to say or do SOMETHING, but don't have the words, or know how best to support this brilliant soul who is such a blessing and a light in our community.

I know everyone is struggling in their own lives at this time. It isn't easy for anybody. But even $5-10 here and there will add up to a profound gift from all of us to a person we all cherish.

Mara would probably flinch at the goal I've set, but I truly believe in shooting for the moon. Even if we fall short, we'll still reach the stars.
