Support Marcus and Percy in Their Time of Need

My name is Marcus Calixte. I’m currently living in a rented room in a townhouse with my partner, Percy, and our dog. I had taken Percy in after their mother and father passed away in the same year, and they had nowhere else to go. We have been sharing the space for a couple of months now, and I have had the room for about a year. My mom, who owns the townhouse and has given me the room to rent, has just raised the rent to about $834 and threatens eviction if I cannot make payments on time. I am unable to keep a full-time job because of my role as a student in college, and Percy is unable to work at all due to disability.

As it stands, we will be unable to make the funds sufficient enough for us to make rent this month.

This fundraiser was made primarily as assistance for paying rent, but if worse comes to worse, we may have to use the money for another place to stay. In any case, we need your support in these times. I can still make a portion of the money required through my part-time work, but only so much. Any and all help that can be given is greatly appreciated, even if that help is only a couple of dollars, or sharing the fundraiser around.
