Support Marcus Topine through his cancer battle.

Never in our worst nightmare would we wish to share this sort of news with anyone but our Dad is about to take on the biggest fight to stay in this lifetime with his beautiful family.

We know just how special our dad is to so many people and the hearts, and beautiful people he has touched, so the least we can do is share the journey with those people he has shared life with!

I will keep this as short as I can as we know dad doesn’t like a fuss… but 2 weeks ago he was suddenly diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, doctors have said it’s “incurable” Stomach, Oesophagus and Liver cancer.

Multiple growths have spread across his stomach and one, which is the largest, is completely blocking anything going through his Oesophagus into his stomach and unfortunately it’s inoperable (the doctors are saying it’s a miracle to how he has been able to eat the last 6 months).

Each day, every minute right now is questionable and precious. So if we haven’t touched base or let you know, we do apologise.

To take this journey with him and pay credit to the battle he is undertaking, Monday 23rd December. We as a family will be taking on a 15 HOUR CARDIO Challenge (1 Bike Erg. & 1 Rower) to raise funds, to help support our dad and our family and give back to the life he has built for our mum and him, as well as to support him through his treatment phases.

If anyone feels they want to be there to support or participate you are most welcome to come give us a laugh, a smile or a chat, and even interchange for a period of 15 minutes (minimum) on either of the ergs. This represents his first steps of treatment: radiology this is due to start 18/12/2024 - for 15 minutes for 5 days. Rower and the bike has always been Dads pick of machines out of anything on a gym floor every. single. time.

In Topine fashion we find strength in the darkest places, these places we go inside the gym walls.
