Hello, my name is Nikki, and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for help on behalf of my beloved mother, Margaret. Our family has been through an incredibly tough time recently, and we need your support to overcome the challenges we’re facing.

A Sudden Stroke and a Changed Life

At the end of January, Margaret suffered a severe stroke that has left her legally blind and disabled. This life-altering event has turned her world upside down. Once independent and active, Margaret now needs assistance with every aspect of daily living. From medical and physical therapy to home aides, housekeeping, and cooking, she is suddenly burdened with needs she never anticipated. After a long, tough road in the hospital, Margaret was finally discharged on March 13, but the journey to recovery is far from over.

Storm Damage and an Unyielding Insurance Company

As if that weren’t enough, while Margaret was still hospitalized, a storm ravaged her home, tearing a hole in the side of the house and causing significant damage to the electrical and internet lines. Trees were uprooted, and her once-cozy home required extensive repairs. Despite having insurance, the company is now refusing to cover the costs of the completed work, leaving her with a massive bill for the repairs, which included fixing the hole, restoring electrical lines, and removing fallen trees.

The Mounting Costs of Care and Recovery

Margaret’s condition means she now requires a range of new medications, frequent transportation to medical facilities near and far, and additional help with food and daily necessities. The financial burden of these expenses, combined with the unexpected repair costs, has become overwhelming.
