Support Maria After Gonzalo's Sudden Passing

On February 20, 2025, Gonzalo Lobo left this earth to reunite with his dear son, JP. Gonzalo’s medical condition declined suddenly and rapidly, and we are devastated by this enormous loss. As you know, Gonzalo and Maria lived in their recently-bought home in West Kendall, where they were working on turning the spare bedroom into a nursery for their 7-month-old grandson.

Gonzalo was best known for his sense of humor, sarcastic jabs, big heart, and his love for the Beatles. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, U.S. veteran, uncle, son, brother, and a very dear friend to many. We will miss him tremendously.

Gonzalo worked up until the week before his passing, and Maria has worked at Old Navy as an associate for 19 years. With his sudden passing, Maria and Michael have been thrust into making urgent life decisions while navigating grief and emotional distress. It’s hard to ask for help, especially in these times when there is already so much need. Anything at all is helpful so Maria can calmly work through her grief while planning and deciding what to do next. Contributions will help pay for things like:

Gonzalo is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maria, his son, Michael, daughter-in-law Megan, and grandson, Silas.
